Hello
I have mounted the Hardrock50 amp (s / n: 1508) over a few years as I have had some family problems in the meantime and now that it is finished and put into operation (without major problems) I plugged it behind a FT-817 but I have a curious correspondence between the bands of the ft-817 and the display of the amp see below:
Ft817-HRD50
1.8 -15m
80 m-15 m
60m-12m
40m-12m
20m-10m
17m-6m
15m-6m
12m 6m
15m-6m
12m unk
10 m unk
6 m unk

And another problem, the voltage display on the HRD 50 oscillates between 1.00 and 9.00 volts.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Christian,

On a few amps we put a pull-up resistor on the FT-817 line in hopes that the band would go to 'UNK' if the FT-817 was unplugged or off. Unfortunately, the resistor causes the problem that you are experiencing. The resistor is located under the LCD display so it's almost impossible to remove. But you can cut the line feeding power to the resistor. If you cut this trace:

As for the voltage reading, lets check what the sensor is picking up. Can you measure the voltage at pin20 of the 20pin connector that connects the amp board to the control board? It the pin farthest from the edge of the case. It should be 3.29V with 13.8V input.
