The HobbyPCB RS-UV3 radio module is a 144/220/450 MHz FM transceiver board. The RS-UV3 is a low cost transceiver solution for Packet Radio, repeaters, Echolink stations, base station and mobile applications. The RS-UV3 supports multiple interfaces including microphone/speaker, line level audio (soundcard), TTL serial control and Arduino Shield connections. The RS-UV3 has an built-in battery charger and provides conditioned power for the Arduino controller.

After some initial teething problems, some mine and some in the firmware, I liked mine enough to buy two more! I am using using DTMF tones. The second project is a simple, repeater power controller using DTMF tones and controlled by an Arduino Pro Micro. The third one - Who knows?

I was able to make mine work within an hour of getting the package. Used command line and parts lying around the workbench. Manual needs to suggest type of speaker mic expected (I assume it's the Yaesu single plug type). There is no header installed for the USB interface Suggest pointing out the DigiKey part numbers for the 6 pin header and USB - TTL adapter. TX is whistle-clean on the spectrum analyzer. Waiting for the Windows control program. Note: typing an error on the com console requires a recovery step; no interpreter is available.
